Beef stew with apple syrup
Rib-beef rags in a traditional Dutch stew with winter carrots, green beans and apple syrup.

Cut the rib-beef into large pieces and sprinkle with salt and pepper.

Brush the meat generously with the apple syrup and mustard.

Chop the onion.

Melt the butter in the frying pan and scoop the meat with the onion through.

Put the laurel leaves in between and pour the beef stock. Bring to low heat on low heat and simmer gently for 2-3 hours.

Cut the winter carrot into slices.

Break the green beans in half.

After 2 hours add the winter carrots and green beans to the meat and simmer for 15 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
