Beef stew with beer


Stew with beef patties, chili powder, celery, turnip, beer and gingerbread.

Directions

  1. Allow the beef to reach room temperature and cut into coarse pieces. Sprinkle with salt, pepper and chili powder.
  2. Heat in casserole butter and fry beef in approx. 5 min. Brown. Peel and cut the garlic into slices.
  3. Peel the celery with the peeler, cut into 2 cm pieces and rinse.
  4. Spoon the garlic, celery and swede through the meat and fry gently for about 3 minutes. Crumble the bouillon tablet above it.
  5. Pour the beer along the edge of the pan and 0.5 dl of hot water per person for the meat.
  6. Bring the whole to the boil and let the meat covered until softly cooked in approx. 2 1/2 - 3 hours. Cut the gingerbread into cubes and scoop through the cooking liquid.
  7. Heat the stew for about 3 minutes while stirring until the moisture is nicely bound. Season with salt and pepper.
