Beets salad with red onion


A tasty recipe. The vegetarian side dish contains the following ingredients: red onion, red wine vinegar, walnut oil, ginger powder (or cinnamon), freshly ground black pepper, cooked beetroot (500 g) and fresh coriander (a 15 g).

Directions

  1. Peel and halve the onion and cut both halves into wafer-thin rings.
  2. Beat in a bowl a dressing of vinegar, oil, ginger powder and salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Scoop the onion rings through and marinate for 5 minutes.
  4. Peel the beetroot thinly (use gloves if possible, because the beet juice gives stubborn stains).
  5. Cut or scrape the beetroot into wafer-thin slices.
  6. Chop the coriander leaf coarsely and scoop with the beet slices through the onion dressing.
  7. Delicious with pork chops, pork fillets or chicken fillet..
