Bold and beefy bbq sauce


Sauce of black peppercorns, apple cider vinegar, cola, espresso, soy sauce, tabasco, ketchup and cornstarch.

Directions

  1. Mash the peppercorns coarsely in the mortar.
  2. Heat in a pan the apple cider vinegar, cola, espresso, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, syrup, tabasco, smokey's beef-rub and balsamic glaze.
  3. Bring to boil.
  4. Dissolve the cornstarch in a separate bowl in the water and add to the sauce. Bring the sauce back to the boil.
  5. Finally, add the ketchup, black pepper, cocoa and honey.
  6. Heat while stirring until boiling and remove from heat. Allow the sauce to cool completely.
  7. Store in a sealed bottle for up to 2 weeks in the refrigerator.
