Braised leeks in raw ham

Directions

  1. Clean the leeks. Cut off the buttocks and cut into equal pieces of 8-10 cm, 2 per person. Rinse the pieces of leeks under running water and let them drain well.
  2. Clean the orange and grate the orange skin thinly. Squeeze out the orange.
  3. Spread slices of ham (2 per person) and divide the orange zest and thyme. Fold the slices in half lengthwise.
  4. Place a piece of leek on each slice of ham and roll the ham tightly around the leek (make sure the ham is nicely in the middle of the leek).
  5. Melt the butter in the pan and put the pieces of leek in it. Fry them around on a low heat.
  6. Pour in the orange juice and fry the leek gently in 10-12 minutes.
