Braised red cabbage with figs

Chop the onion.

Cut the figs into pieces.

Cut the red cabbage into four parts and cut the hard stalk at an angle.

Cut the parts into very thin strips.

Mix the red cabbage strips in the frying pan with onion, cinnamon, figs, some salt and freshly ground black pepper.

Pour the cranberry juice and put the butter in lumps on the coal mixture.
-
Bring the red cabbage covered to the boil and simmer the coals gently in 30 to 40 minutes.

Change regularly and if necessary, add a dash of water if it gets too dry.
