Directions

  1. Halve the bacon patties and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Mix the mustard with 2 tablespoons of olive oil and brush the meat with this mixture.
  2. Remove the bacon slices through breadcrumbs. Pan thick and press well.
  3. Heat the butter and fry the bacon for 3-4 minutes. Turn around once and bake the other side for about 3 minutes.
  4. Spoon the beetroot with the spring onions into a bowl. Season with salt and pepper and pour in the balsamic vinegar and the rest of the olive oil. Sprinkle with the goat's cheese.
  5. Place the beets covered for 4-5 minutes at 800 Watt in the microwave, or uncovered for 10-15 minutes in the oven at 180ºC, until the cheese has melted. Serve the beet gratin with the bacon.
  6. Tasty with baked potatoes.
