Heat the oil in a soup pot with a thick bottom and fry the chorizo on a high setting in about 5 minutes brown and crispy. Remove the chorizo from the pan and keep separate.

Fry the garlic, paprika and onion for about 5 minutes in the shortening.

Add the potato cubes and stock and let the soup simmer for about 20 minutes at a low setting.

Stamp the potatoes with a puree damper, add the kale and let the soup simmer for about 5 minutes.

Season with salt and pepper and stir in the chorizo.

Tasty with thick slices of bread.
