Heat the sugar with the milk on low setting until the sugar is dissolved and the whole is bubbling. It must not discolour! .

Meanwhile, rinse the molds with water.

Stir the vanilla essence and icing sugar from the heat into the milk-sugar mixture and pour into the molds.

Allow to set and cool completely and then remove from the molds.

You can also divide everything over a baking tray and break it into pieces later.
