Wash the cherries in a colander, let them drain well and peel the cherries. Put them in a glass dish.

Cut the lime and ginger into thin slices and place them between the cherries. Pour the wine on it. Let the cherries marinate for 1-2 hours at room temperature.

Serve the cherries with wine as dessert in slices with a large bread roll ice cream in the middle.
