Preheat the oven to 210 ° C and grease the cake tin.

Line the cake mold with the dough slices and press the dough edges together well.

Prick the dough with a fork.

Heat the oil and fry the onion rings 5-7 minutes. Sprinkle with thyme, salt and pepper.

In the meantime, cut 1 cm from the bottom of the chicory, halve the stalks lengthwise and cut into long strips.

Remove the onions from the pan.

Add the rest of the oil and fry the chicory for 2-3 minutes.

Divide the onion rings and chicory strips over the dough.

Brush the dough borders with egg and bake the cake in the middle of the oven for about 20 minutes.

Meanwhile, mix the lettuce with the tomato, cucumber, salad dressing and pesto.
