Making chocolate mousse? This recipe for chocolate mousse is made with dark chocolate, egg, caster sugar and whipped cream.

Directions

  1. Finely chop the chocolate.
  2. Let the chocolate melt in a bain-marie in a bowl over a pan of boiling water for about 5 minutes. Stir occasionally. Take the bowl from the pan.
  3. Split the eggs. Beat the egg white with the sugar with a mixer for about 5 minutes until it forms shiny rigid peaks.
  4. Put the whipped cream in a large bowl and whisk in approx. 3 minutes.
  5. Beat the egg yolks with a whisk. Stir in the rest of the sugar.
  6. Stir the melted chocolate through the egg yolk-sugar mixture. Spat it through the whipped cream.
  7. Spat the protein quickly and lightly in parts through the chocolate mixture.
  8. Spoon the chocolate mousse in glasses, jars or slices, cover with cling film and let stiffen in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.
