Heat the sugar, chocolate, vanilla pod, pepper, cinnamon sticks and 375 milliliters of water with stirring so that the chocolate melts. Stir well and simmer gently for 5 minutes.

Pour the liquid chocolate mixture through a sieve into a freezer. Allow to cool slightly and put it in the freezer for 3 hours.

Stir after every hour to avoid large ice crystals. Serve chocolate ore balls topped with a wafer or a goat's paw.
