Ingredients
Directions
-
Preheat the oven to 175 ° C.
-
Mix in a bowl the self-rising flour with the oatmeal, brown sugar, ginger powder, biscuits and a pinch of salt.
-
Melt the butter in a saucepan or in the microwave.
-
Stir the butter through the flour mixture and knead until it becomes a nice dough.
-
Roll the dough between two pieces of parchment paper into a piece of 8-10 mm thick.
-
Stick stars with each protrusion, so that there are stars of every size.
-
Place the stars on a griddle covered with parchment paper and fry in the oven for 15 minutes until golden brown and done.
-
Allow the stars to cool from the oven on a baking tray.
-
Put four-fifths of the icing sugar in a bowl and stir in the sugar with two tablespoons of egg white and two tablespoons of lemon juice to a smooth and shiny glaze.
-
Add more protein if necessary.
-
Brush the top of the stars generously with glaze and allow the glaze to dry in 1-2 hours.
-
Before serving serve the Christmas stars on a nice scale and sprinkle the rest of the icing sugar over.
