Directions

  1. Break the egg over a large wide bowl and beat it with a whisk.
  2. Add the sugar and cinnamon and beat everything well.
  3. Pour the milk into the egg mixture while beating.
  4. Cut the slices of bread diagonally in half.
  5. Roll them through the egg mixture.
  6. Leave them for ten minutes in the egg mixture.
  7. Heat one third of the butter in the frying pan until the foam dries.
  8. Then place four triangles of soaked bread in the frying pan.
  9. Fry the underside of the slices over medium-high heat in two to three minutes until golden brown.
  10. Turn the slices with a thin, wide spatula and bake the other side golden brown in two to three minutes.
  11. Place the fried French toast on a plate and keep warm under aluminum foil.
  12. Bake in the same way in another 2 times the other soaked slices of bread into golden brown French toast.
  13. Place the French toast on 4 plates and cook a large spoon of apricot jam next to it.
