Directions

  1. Roast the lemon, grate the yellow skin and squeeze it out. Sift the flour into a bowl and add the lemon zest and sugar.
  2. Cut the butter into cubes. Knead the butter through the flour mixture until a smooth dough is created.
  3. Wrap the dough in cling film and let it rest in the refrigerator until use.
  4. Preheat the oven to 175 ° C.
  5. Well the raisins in lukewarm water. Peel the apples, halve and cut into quarters. Remove the clock houses and cut the parts into blocks.
  6. Drop some lemon juice over the apples (this prevents discoloration). Spoon the raisins with the custard, cinnamon, sugar and the apple pieces.
  7. Grease the spring form. Roll out three quarters of the dough on a floured countertop and cover the spring form.
  8. Cut the bread into cubes and put the pieces of bread on the bottom. Divide the apple-raisin mixture over here.
  9. Roll the remaining dough thin rolls and place them in a checkered pattern on the cake.
  10. Mix the apricot jam with the hot water and spread the cake with it. Bake the apple pie in approx. 60 minutes until done.
