Directions

  1. Halve the white coals and cut the stalk at an angle.
  2. Cut the pieces into thin strips.
  3. Mix the coals and carrot in a colander with the salt and place a plate with a weight on it.
  4. Let everything stand for 1 hour.
  5. The coal becomes softer and loses some moisture.
  6. Rinse the coals and root under running water and press out the moisture.
  7. Dab the coals and root dry with kitchen paper.
  8. In a bowl mix the mayonnaise with the vinegar, mustard and some pepper to make a dressing.
  9. Put the carrots with carrots, spring onions and celery through them.
  10. Delicious as a side dish with meat, chicken and fish or on a sandwich.
