Sprinkle the chicken with salt and pepper. Heat the oil in a frying pan and fry the chicken bolts around light brown. Remove them from the pan.

Fry the garlic, onion and bacon in the frying fat for about 5 minutes. Add the chicken and sprinkle with the flour.

Pour the wine and stock and add the thyme, celery and carrot. Leave to simmer for about 45 minutes at a low setting.

Add the prunes and mushrooms and simmer for about 15 minutes. Delicious with mashed potatoes.
