Creamy vanilla custard with plum compote
A tasty Dutch recipe. The vegetarian dessert contains the following ingredients: vegtable plum without pit, (freshly squeezed) orange juice, freshly brewed Earl Gray tea, ginger powder, whole milk, whipped cream, vanilla pod (cut open), eggs, sugar and cornstarch.
In a pan, bring prunes with orange juice, tea and ginger powder to the boil and simmer for 10 to 15 minutes until most of the moisture is absorbed.
In a thick pan, bring milk with cream and vanilla pod to the boil over a gentle heat and let it simmer for 10 minutes.
Remove vanilla bean from milk and scrape out black seeds with knife.
Rub the seeds again with milk.
Fry egg yolks, sugar and cornstarch with hand mixer or whisk in 5-6 min.
Until creamy and creamy masses.
In the pan above, do not hang boiling water and add a dash of milk for a dash of milk.
Continue to beat until thick, bound custard forms.
Let it cool down, stir regularly.
Place custard and plum compote in separate dishes..
