Dutch club sandwich


Slices of bread with herring, cress, cream cheese, beetroot and Zaanse mustard.

Directions

  1. Cut the crusts of the slices of bread and toast the bread in the toaster. Divide each herring lengthwise into 2 fillets.
  2. Cut the cress from the bed. Stir in the mustard and cress through the cream cheese.
  3. Spread the slices of bread on one side thinly with the mustard cream. Cut all slices of bread diagonally.
  4. Cover the smeared bread triangles with the lamb's lettuce and onions (from herring packaging) and place 1 herring fillet on each triangle.
  5. Always lay 2 covered triangles on top of each other and cover with a non-lubricated bread triangle. Press the stacks slightly and stick them with a flag.
  6. Put the club sandwiches on plates and sprinkle with the rest of the cress.
