Chop the onion. Cut the winter carrot into thin slices and the spring onion in rings.

Heat the oil in a frying pan and fry the onion with the beef strips golden brown.

Then add the slices of carrot, tomato cubes, the stock cube, the laurel and the water.

Allow the meat to cook at a low heat for at least 20 minutes with the lid at an angle on the pan and season with pepper.

Prepare the mashed potatoes according to the instructions on the packaging.

Serve the beef stew with the mashed potatoes and finally sprinkle the spring onions.
