Preheat the oven to 120ºC. Boil the potatoes in about 20 minutes.

In the meantime, heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a stirring fruit. Add the apple and sauerkraut, stir fry for about 5 minutes and keep warm in the oven.

Heat the rest of the oil and fry the meat strips for 2-3 minutes. Add the tomato puree, peppers, mushrooms and paprika and cook for another 3-4 minutes. Stir in the stock, the cream and possibly the vodka.

Mash the potatoes with the milk and butter and stir the thyme through the puree.

Serve the stroganoff sauce with the sauerkraut and mashed potatoes.
