Ingredients
Directions
-
Grate the peel of the orange. Cut the white part of the orange and divide the fruit into segments.
-
Halve these parts and do them with the dates and figs in a thick-bottomed pan. Add the orange zest, 100 ml of water and the other ingredients and bring to a boil so that the sugar dissolves.
-
On a low setting, stirring occasionally, simmer slowly for 30-35 minutes until the chutney is thickened.
-
Pour the warm chutney into the jam jar, turn the lid on and let the pot cool down in reverse. Let the chutney stand for a day in a cool, dark place.
-
Delicious with meat, chicken and cheese.
