Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Wet the loaves on all sides and bake in about 8 minutes. Let them cool down until lukewarm and cut them horizontally in half.
  2. Brush the cut sides of the bread with olive oil and top the bottom halves with Parma ham. Divide the slices of tomato and sprinkle with salt and freshly ground pepper.
  3. Divide the basil and lay the mozzarella on it. Grind a little pepper and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Place the top parts of the bread on them and cut the loaves into 8 equal pieces.
  4. Put a stick in each piece or tie a string to keep everything together.
