Directions

  1. Cut the underside of the stalk chicory and cut the chicory in half. Remove the hard core. Remove the leaves, wash and dry them.
  2. Fry the bacon in a frying pan without oil or butter in approx. 5 min. Crunchy. Remove from the pan with a slotted spoon and drain on kitchen paper.
  3. Chop the onion and finely chop the garlic. Add the oil to the shortening and fry the onion for 2 minutes. Add the garlic and the oregano and cook for 1 min.
  4. Add the chicory and stir-fry over a high heat for 2 minutes. Spoon the bacon at the last minute.
