Fried rice pudding with saffron
A nice Turkish recipe. The vegetarian dessert contains the following ingredients: whole milk, cinnamon stick, lemon peel, saffron, vanilla sugar, dessert rice, white raisins, garnish almonds (45 g), butter at room temperature, sugar, eggs (M) and butter or margarine to grease.
- 1 liter Full Milk
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 4 cm lemon peel
- 1 bag saffron
- 1 bag vanilla sugar
- 250 g desert rice
- 100 g white raisins
- 1 bag garnish almonds 45 g
- 75 g butter at room temperature
- 75 g sugar
- 4 eggs (M)
- Tablespoon butter or margarine to grease
Bring milk to the boil with cinnamon stick, lemon peel, saffron and vanilla sugar.
Add rice and bring to the boil while stirring.
Covered on low heat in about 15 minutes until cooked, stirring occasionally.
Stir in raisins and let the rice cool down (slightly).
Remove cinnamon stick and lemon peel.
Preheat the oven to 175 ° C or gas oven 3.
In the meantime, roast almonds golden brown in fine frying pan and finely chop.
Mix in butter and sugar until creamy mixture.
Split eggs above two bowls.
Mix egg yolks with sugar mixture.
Mix egg mixture and chopped almonds with rice.
In a fat-free bowl, stir in fat-free whisks of egg whites and cook through rice.
Grease the scale and create rice mixture.
Cook in the oven for about 25 minutes and brown slightly.
Serve cold or warm pudding..
