Gingerbread salad with cheese and basil
A tasty recipe. The side dish contains the following ingredients: green beans, red onion (in thin half rings), red wine vinegar, extra virgin olive oil, white cheese cubes (coarsely crumbled) and basil (torn into pieces).
In a pan, boil the green beans in plenty of water with salt in approx. 10 min. Until al dente. Drain the beans in a colander and allow to cool for 5 minutes.
In the meantime, combine the vinegar with the onion in a large bowl and marinate the onion for 5 minutes. Beat the oil and salt and pepper through the vinegar to taste.
Scoop the beans, cheese and basil through the vinegar. Cover the slicer and leave the flavors in the fridge for at least 2 hours.
Take the salad from the refrigerator for approx. 20 minutes before use. Tasty with grilled chicken or pork.
