Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 200 ° C.
  2. Bring a pot of water and a little salt to the boil. Meanwhile, cut the bottom of the stalk chicory and cut the chicory in half lengthwise. Remove the hard core.
  3. When the water is boiling, add the chicory and cook for 8 minutes.
  4. Meanwhile, peel the potatoes and cut each potato into 4 equal pieces. Boil in water with salt in 20 minutes until done.
  5. Drain the chicory, drain well and wrap each half in a slice of ham.
  6. Divide the chicory rolls, cheese, thyme, butter into lumps and the almond shavings in succession over the baking dish. Bake for about 15 minutes in the middle of the oven.
  7. In the meantime, cut the salad onion into thin rings. Heat the milk in a saucepan (or microwave).
  8. Drain the potatoes and mix with the milk and the rest of the butter until a smooth puree.
  9. Season the salad onion and season with salt and pepper.
  10. Serve the ham cheese with the mashed potatoes and some cooking liquid from the oven dish.
