Directions

  1. Cut the bread horizontally in half.
  2. Heat a grill pan or barbecue and toast the cutting edges of the bread.
  3. Wash the lettuce leaves and dry them in a salad spinner or tea towel.
  4. Remove the ends of the zucchini.
  5. Arrange the courgette with a cheese slicer in long slices (remove the inner part with seeds).
  6. Brush the slices with a thin layer of olive oil and grill them. Keep separate.
  7. Press the burgers together with 1 burger in the middle and the rest around it.
  8. Brush the meat with oil and grill in the grill pan. Turn around halfway.
  9. Remove from the pan and fry the onion rings in the shortening to a low setting until soft.
  10. Meanwhile, brush the cutting edge of the bread base with mayonnaise and top with 8 lettuce leaves.
