Herring with potato salad


A tasty Dutch recipe. The starter contains the following ingredients: fish, solid potatoes (eg Lady Christl), lemon juice, walnut oil, grated horseradish (pot), freshly ground black pepper, watercress (75 g) and herring (= 4 double fillets).

Directions

  1. Peel potatoes, cut into cubes and wash.
  2. Boil the potato cubes in a little water with 1/2 tsp salt in approx.
  3. 10 min.
  4. In bowl dressing, beat lemon juice, oil, horseradish and salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Cut out the potato cubes and scoop them warm.
  6. Let cool.
  7. Remove crude stems from watercress.
  8. Distribute half of watercress over four plates.
  9. Rest of watercress coarsely chop and mix by potato salad.
  10. Place herring on watercress.
  11. Keep 1 fillet up each time, create potato salad on the bottom fillet and place the top fillet on top again.
  12. Tasty with toast..
