Ingredients
Directions
-
Start with the cooking pears. You do not use all the pears for this recipe. Peel the pears and let the stalks sit on them. Put them upright in a pan in which they fit well without falling over.
-
Add the rest of the ingredients and pour in enough water that the pears are just below. Bring to the boil and then put the lid on the pan. Stew the pears on a low setting in soft and red for about 3 hours.
-
Allow the pears to cool in the cooking liquid. Use 4 pears in this dish and serve the rest as a side dish or as a dessert with whipped cream with vanilla.
-
Preheat the oven to 200 ° C. Pack 4 cooking pears in a rolled out slice of puff pastry. Put them on the baking sheet and brush them around with the beaten egg.
-
Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon powder and bake the pears in a preheated oven at 200 ° C for about 25 minutes.
-
Delicious with a roll of vanilla ice cream.
