A tasty recipe. The main course contains the following ingredients: poultry, duck breast fillet, onion, clove, bay leaf, full red wine, apples, pine nuts (a 65 g), liquid acacia honey and sauerkraut.

Directions

  1. Remove fat layer from duck breast with a sharp knife and cut meat into very small pieces (fat is not used).
  2. Peel and chop onions.
  3. In a baking dish, mix duck breast with onion, 1 liter of lukewarm water, cloves, bay leaves, wine and 1 tsp salt.
  4. Cover the dish with a lid or aluminum foil and put it on a grid in the middle of the cold oven.
  5. Switch the oven on at 100 ° C and let the duck breast cook very slowly in approx.
  6. 45 min.
  7. Peel apples and drill out the cores.
  8. Cut 12 slices of 1 1/2 cm thick of apples (the remainder of apples is not used).
  9. Pine nuts in large, dry frying pan with a non-stick coating roast golden brown, let cool on plate.
  10. Place apple slices in 2 frying pans, each with 3 tbsp honey, and let it caramelise on low heat (if honey is too dark, add a dash of water).
  11. Heat up sauerkraut in your own water with 2 tbsp honey, season with salt and pepper.
  12. Remove the pan from the oven and scoop out meat (cooking liquid is not used).
  13. Place apple slices in the middle of four plates.
  14. Remove half of sauerkraut with tongs from the pan and distribute them over apple slices.
  15. Cover with second apple slice and distribute the rest of sauerkraut over it.
  16. Place duck breast on sauerkraut and cover with last apple slices.
  17. Sprinkle with pine nuts.
  18. Delicious with mashed potatoes..
