Leek balls


A tasty Dutch recipe. The side dish contains the following ingredients: olive oil, leeks (washed and thin rings), unsalted cashew nuts, lentils ((400 g), drained), Parmesan cheese (grated), egg and breadcrumbs (a 150 g).

Directions

  1. Heat 1 tbsp oil in a frying pan and fry the leek over low heat in 10 min. Soft and done, let cool. Meanwhile, grind the nuts roughly. Rinse the lentils and put in a bowl. Press half of the lentils flat with the convex side of a spoon. Mix the nuts, cheese, egg and breadcrumbs through the lentils. Add the leek, mix through and put everything in the refrigerator for 25 minutes.
  2. Form 12 balls with moist hands. Put the rest of the oil in the frying pan and fry the balls in 15 min. Around brown and done. Times regularly. Tasty with guacamole.
