Heat the oil and fry the bacon cubes and bacon bars for a few minutes.

Add the onion and fry for a few minutes.

Add the garlic and herbs and fruit for another minute.

Add the lentils and stock and stir well. Bring to the boil and cook the lentils with the lid on the pan in approx. 30 minutes until al dente.

Meanwhile, cook the potatoes. Season the lentil dish with pepper and serve with the potatoes.
