Lukewarm pointed cabbage salad with caraway seed


A tasty Dutch recipe. The side dish contains the following ingredients: meat, cabbage (about 1 kilo), low-fat bacon, (white wine) vinegar, (olive) oil, caraway seed (kummel), salt and (freshly ground) pepper.

Directions

  1. Clean pointed cabbage, wash and pat dry. Remove stump and cut coals into thin strips.
  2. Fry bacon strips in a frying pan. Add vinegar and oil and bring to the boil. stir in the coals and for 1 to 2 minutes stirring in a coagulation until coal shrinks. Stir in caraway seeds. Season with salt and pepper. Allow to cool to lukewarm. Tasty with grilled sirloin steak and baked potatoes.
