Ingredients
Directions
-
Chop the onion and finely chop the garlic.
-
Cut the bottom of the fennel and a piece of the top and halve. Remove the core. Cut into strips.
-
Heat the oil in a frying pan and fry the onion and garlic for 3 minutes. Add the fennel and cook for 7 minutes on low heat.
-
Meanwhile, cut the red pepper into rings.
-
Add together with the tomato cubes, fennel seed, pepper and possibly salt to the vegetables and simmer for another 15 minutes.
-
Make a well in the vegetable mixture per person and break an egg above each well. Cover the pan with a lid or aluminum foil and bake for about 4 minutes until the eggs have solidified.
-
In the meantime, cut the coriander roughly. Sprinkle with the chiliflakes over the shakshuka. Serve in the pan with the bread.
