Directions

  1. Peel the potatoes, halve them and put them in a pan with water. Make sure they are just under water. Add salt if necessary. Cook them in 20 minutes until done.
  2. Drain the potatoes and let cool on a plate. Cut the potatoes into slices of about 1 cm thick.
  3. Meanwhile, put the bread in a deep plate and pour the milk over it. Leave for 2 minutes and squeeze out.
  4. Chop the onion as finely as possible. Put the minced meat in a bowl and add the onion, egg and squeezed bread. Mix together and season generously with salt and pepper.
  5. Divide the minced meat into a large meatball per person.
  6. Heat the butter in a frying pan. Bake meatballs over medium heat in 5 min. Brown.
  7. After the meatballs are brown, add the water. Let the large balls in about 20 minutes. Turn occasionally.
  8. Meanwhile, heat the oil in 2 frying pans. Fry the potato slices over medium heat in 15-20 minutes until golden brown. Turn occasionally.
  9. Meanwhile, cut the broccoli into florets. Peel the stem and cut into slices.
  10. Bring a pot of water to the boil. Add the broccoli and cook for 5 minutes. Drain.
  11. Divide the meatballs, potatoes and broccoli over the plates and serve immediately.
