Meringue 'kisses'

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 100ºC.
  2. Make the basic meringue recipe twice (see elsewhere on this website). Divide the mass into two parts.
  3. Divide one half into three and add a few drops of food coloring to each part.
  4. Add the chopped hazelnuts or almonds to the other half.
  5. Cut a 2 cm point of a piping bag or use a star-shaped mouthpiece.
  6. Spray small caps of about 3 cm with a peak on it with 2-3 cm spacing on the baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes in the middle of the oven until they can easily be removed from the baking paper leaving the bottom intact.
