Preheat the oven to 100ºC.

Make the basic meringue recipe twice (see elsewhere on this website). Divide the mass into two parts.

Divide one half into three and add a few drops of food coloring to each part.

Add the chopped hazelnuts or almonds to the other half.

Cut a 2 cm point of a piping bag or use a star-shaped mouthpiece.

Spray small caps of about 3 cm with a peak on it with 2-3 cm spacing on the baking sheet.

Bake for 30-35 minutes in the middle of the oven until they can easily be removed from the baking paper leaving the bottom intact.
