Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 200 ° C.
  2. Let the puff pastry or cake dough thaw and make as large circles as possible.
  3. Place the circles on a baking tray with parchment paper.
  4. Cut the salami into small cubes and fry them in the olive oil to a low setting until crisp.
  5. Add the mushrooms in pieces and stir fry for a few minutes.
  6. Let it drain and then cool down.
  7. Mix the salami mushroom mixture with the oregano and a pinch of pepper or crushed chilli flakes.
  8. Spoon 1 tablespoon of filling into the center of each dough circle.
  9. Brush half of the outer edge with a brush of water and fold the dough close to a crescent moon.
  10. Push the edges together well and brush the dough with the beaten egg.
  11. Bake the calzones low in the oven in about 25 minutes until golden brown.
