Mini calzone with mushroom and salami

Preheat the oven to 200 ° C.

Let the puff pastry or cake dough thaw and make as large circles as possible.

Place the circles on a baking tray with parchment paper.

Cut the salami into small cubes and fry them in the olive oil to a low setting until crisp.

Add the mushrooms in pieces and stir fry for a few minutes.

Let it drain and then cool down.

Mix the salami mushroom mixture with the oregano and a pinch of pepper or crushed chilli flakes.

Spoon 1 tablespoon of filling into the center of each dough circle.

Brush half of the outer edge with a brush of water and fold the dough close to a crescent moon.

Push the edges together well and brush the dough with the beaten egg.

Bake the calzones low in the oven in about 25 minutes until golden brown.
