Cut the onion into rings. Heat the butter in a soup pot and fry the onion rings for 10 minutes.

Pour in the wine. Cook for 5 minutes.

Preheat the oven to 225 ° C.

Add water and bouillon tablets in the soup pot and cook for 15 minutes.

Cut the baguette into slanted slices (1 per person). Grate the Gruyère cheese and sprinkle over the slices.
