A tasty recipe. The dessert contains the following ingredients: sugar, vanilla bean, oranges (scrubbed), almond shavings (a 55 g), butter, eggs, vanilla sugar (packet of 10 sachets) and self-raising flour (sifted).

Preheat the oven to 160 ° C. Bring half of the sugar in a saucepan to a boil with 125 ml of water over low heat. Cut the vanilla pod open lengthwise and scrape out the marrow with a knife tip. Add the stick and the marrow to the sugar syrup. Cut the oranges into wafer-thin slices and add. Cook gently for 15 minutes.

Place the vanilla pod on the bottom of the baking tin and spread the orange over it. Divide the syrup and then the batter over it. Bake the cake for about 40 minutes. Allow to cool for 5 minutes. Cut off the edges and turn around on a plate. Tasty with some crème fraîche.
