Preheat the oven to 200 ° C.

Cook the penne al dente according to the instructions on the package.

Chop the onion. Heat the oil in a frying pan and fry the bacon strips for 5 min. On medium heat. Add the onion and cook for 3 minutes.

Add the pumpkin pieces and cook for 3 minutes. Add the tomato cubes and sage and bring to the boil. Season with pepper and salt.

Mix the pumpkin with the pasta and scoop in the baking dish. Sprinkle with the cheese and bake for about 25 minutes in the middle of the oven until golden brown.
