The healing power of laurel

  1. Bay leaf is a tasty herb that is rarely eaten because of its leathery, chewy texture. By boiling bay leaves in a sauce it gives off flavor and healing power. It is harmless to eat the leaves, but it is not advisable; simply because it is not tasty and difficult to chew. Bay laurel is especially beneficial for intestinal problems. There are also anti-depressant properties given to bay leaf, but this has not been scientifically proven. Some people feel calmer after drinking bay leaf tea and have less of a need to give into smoking or candy addiction. It's hard enough to get rid of an addiction so you can always try.
