Press the onion rings per 2 apart. Split the egg and whisk the egg white.

Mix the flour with the beer, 1 tablespoon sunflower oil and the egg yolk and season with salt and pepper. Fold the whipped egg white through the mixture.

Mix the breadcrumbs with the Parmesan cheese. First, get the onions through some flour, then through the beer batter and then through the breading mixture.

Heat a pan with sunflower oil to 180ºC and fry the onion rings golden brown and crispy in about 4 minutes. Drain on kitchen paper and serve with chili sauce.
