Preheat the oven to 180 ° C. Mix the self-rising flour with the baking powder and knead it with the grated cheese, herbs, a pinch of salt and the butter into a granular dough.

Pour the milk into the dry mixture. Stir and quickly knead to a soft dough. The dough does not have to be kneaded long, otherwise the scones become tough and dry.

Dust the worktop with some flour. Roll the dough into a thick piece of 3 cm and make small molds out.

Place the molds on a baking tray with baking paper. Beat the egg yolk with a tablespoon of milk and brush the scones. Fry in 15 to 20 minutes until tender and golden brown. Let them cool down to lukewarm.
