Preheat the oven to 160 ° C. Peel the beets and cut into very small cubes (3 x 3 mm).

Heat the milk au bain-marie and melt the chocolate.

In the meantime, beat the butter, sugar and caster sugar in an airy mixture in about 10 minutes.

Then beat the eggs one by one and finally the warm white chocolate milk.

Sift the flour and gently fold it through the batter, followed by the beetroot cubes.

Spoon the batter into the greased baking tin, smooth the top and sprinkle the almond shavings over it.
