Pearl balls


A nice Chinese recipe. The snack contains the following ingredients: meat, sushi rice, celery, half-to-half-minced, fresh ginger root (grated), cornstarch, dry sherry, Chinese cabbage (leaves), soy sauce (light), sweet chilli sauce and sesame oil.

Directions

  1. Boil the pan in boiling water for 2 minutes and drain in a sieve.
  2. Peel celery with peeler and cut into tiny cubes.
  3. In bowl minced beef mix with celery, ginger, cornstarch, sherry and 1 tsp salt and well kneaded.
  4. From chopped 12 balls of 2-3 cm diameter forms.
  5. Sprinkle rice into deep plate and turn meatballs through rice so that they are covered with rice grains.
  6. Press firmly.
  7. Place cabbage leaves in steam baskets and put 6 meatballs in each basket.
  8. Stacking baskets together.
  9. Steam rack in wok sets and wok filling with water up to 2 cm under grill.
  10. Bring water to the boil.
  11. Put baskets on rack and cover with convex lid of wok.
  12. Pearl balls simmered in 15-18 minutes.
  13. Fry in soy sauce, chili sauce and sesame oil.
  14. To serve pearl balls in steam basket.
  15. Add dip sauce..
