Pie with pecans
Preheat the oven to 180 ºC.
Mix the flour, powdered sugar, butter and the salt in the food processor into a crumbly dough. Knead this by hand into a ball.
Grease the baking tin and cover with the dough. Put in the oven for about 20 minutes. Put the nuts in the oven dish and bake for about 10 minutes in the oven.
In the meantime, heat the syrup, caster sugar and whipped cream in a saucepan. Bring to the boil and cook on low heat for 6 minutes.
Remove the baking tin from the oven and spread the nuts over the cake base. Pour the caramel sauce over it and bake for about 20 minutes in the oven.
Allow to cool completely before serving.
