Penne with tuna sauce

Directions

  1. Chop the onion and finely chop the garlic.
  2. Pour the olive oil from the tuna into a skillet.
  3. Heat the oil and fry the onion and garlic gently and stir in the paprika and Italian herbs.
  4. Add the tomato cubes with juice and the capers and simmer for 10 minutes until a nice sauce.
  5. In the meantime, cook the penne in a pan with plenty of boiling water with salt in 10-12 minutes until al dente.
  6. Divide the tuna into pieces and stir in the tomato sauce.
  7. Add salt and freshly ground pepper to taste.
  8. Allow the sauce to simmer for a further 5 minutes.
  9. Let the penne drain in a colander and stir the pasta through the sauce.
  10. Warm the pasta dish for a moment.
  11. Serve in pasta plates and sprinkle the cheese over it.
  12. Tasty with a fresh salad.
