With a glass of circles, stick out of the cake slices. Drizzle with a liqueur of your choice.

Spread 8 slices of cake with a layer of cream cheese or mascarpone. Stack 2 smeared circles together and cover with the last one.

Roll out white fondant into a thin piece and make larger circles. Line the stacked cakes and cut the edges.

Or sprinkle the tarts with powdered sugar instead of fondant. Decorate the petit fours with stars and trees of colored marzipan.
